This book is a collective exploration of how public space in Monterrey is used beyond the logic of the automobile. In a city built around cars, the book looks at the cracks in that system—moments when the street becomes a court, a market, an altar, a stage, or simply a place to gather. Through critical texts, drawings, and spatial analysis, it treats the ephemeral not as anecdote but as evidence: what happens when no one plans it, but someone needs it.

The project is not a vision of the future but a record of what already exists. A visual and political reading of pavement as shared ground. Proof that the street is also public space. An invitation to see the city again, through the cracks on the pavement.
